For this update rather than talk about developing your business
I wanted to let you know how I am doing this year!
I landscaped my garden in October 2012 and from then on the
weather was rather rubbish! So I made my new years resolution to spend more
time in the garden. Luckily the bank holidays have been kind to us this year
and so I have done just that! The landscaped garden has had all sorts of plants
and shrubs planted. I by no means have green fingers, but I must say that it is
really relaxing to know that something that I have worked hard for over the
past year! My next big purchase is going to be a gaming laptop. I’ll probably
have to make sure that the screen is sun friendly so I can enjoy it in the
garden!
Why is it I am eating and enjoying the stodgy foods recently? Pizza, fish and chips, mashed potatoes! Surely the better weather should be resulting in a pint and salad? I’ve always said that if you like it you should eat it. Wellbeing is something that healthy food sometimes lacks, so I’ll probably continue to eat the stodgy stuff if it makes me feel good!
I have a big Table Tennis match next week. One of my
colleagues in the office plays for another team and this is the first time that
we are going to be playing each other competitively. I think a few from the office
are going to be in attendance to watch, but bragging rights until the next
meeting will be either the best or worst thing to happen...ever. Fingers crossed
I perform and win!
For my work life like most years I am doing quite well.
Currently I am 110% of my targets set by the company and really enjoy the job
that I perform. I like the interaction with FA firms and helping them achieve
their goals.
I passed J11 today – Wraps and platform services. This means
that I am 4 AF exams away from Chartered. Looking at starting with the pensions
module first, but think that I’ll take a little break maybe and look to pass
this one in April 2014. It’s always good to keep the professional development
going!
I’m off now for a pint in celebration of passing the J11
exam, should the pub do a salad I’ll be sure to get that as well!
